Violette Exquisite Complexion Powder, 3” x 1-1/2” square box covered with soft peach faux leather lithographic paper. Lid shows a lady’s face, short with wavy hair with a red hairband and bow, with several blue flowers along her neckline. The flowers are repeated along the sides of the box. James S. Kirk & Co., Chicago, 2-1/2 oz. The powder is wrapped in paper and does not appear to have been used. DATE: 1890s through the turn of the Century.

In the front along the top of each side is a gold design and under it says, “By Appointment,” could be company logo or emblem of some kind. 8, New Bond St., London, Established 1770. Made in England. Partially used. 4-1/2” from pouring top to bottom edge and 3” width. DATE: Early 1900s.
