Morris and Yeomans, England, “Made at our own Factory,” print in red, black, yellow and blue. Back of package shows pictures of 3 women wearing elegant hats. DATE: Turn of century through early 1900s.
Commercial Hat Pins, Fair Handy Hat Fasteners
Fair Handy Hat Fasteners in original box. Fasteners are black, 4-1/2” long and shaped like a hairpin with a clasp similar to a safety pin. Both the box and card holding the fasteners are white and have the same art work, a photograph of a woman in a red coat holding a hat to show how they are attached. 25c Pair. Detailed directions on back include “Made of best brass, will not rust or corrode, Pat’d April 25,1905.” DATED: Early 1900s.

Glass tube Hat Pin Holder covered with gathered pink satin and teal and pink fabric flowers along the bottom and top. Ribbon is attached to each side with a small bow for hanging. Hand stitched. On small piece of paper inside glass tube is written: From Florence & Kimber, Xmas 1913. DATED: 1913.
Hat Pin Holder, white porcelain
White porcelain Hat Pin Holder 6” H, decorated with pink flowers and green leaves along the top and bottom edges. The center opening is gold with 6 small round holes. The base has a 3” diameter, the top edge 1-1/2.” Bottom is stamped, “MZ Austria” and “Marshall Field and Company, Chicago.”
Hat Pin with large egg shaped bakelite head
Large egg shaped bakelite head, brown along the top and reddish orange at the center. The 1-3/4” filigree brass holder has a green bakelite insert that holds the egg. A 1/2” tremblor (metal springs creating movement of the head) connects the shaft to the brass head. Shaft is capped. DATE: 1900s to 1920.

Bakelite red top hat head covered with tiny silver rhinestones. Hat 3/4” high. 7” brass shaft. DATE: Late 30s and early 40s.
Hat Pin, bone 3″ head
Bone head 3” long, shape resembles a fang, with a 13” shaft. In 1909 a bill was introduced in the Arkansas legislature limiting the length of hat pins to 9 inches because they were considered deadly weapons. DATE: Late 19th century and into early 20th Century

2-1/2” Brown glass head in the shape of a leaf. Brown has metallic gold in it creating a glittering effect, there are also areas where the clear glass is transparent. 6-1/2” brass shaft with cap.

b. Cone shaped brass head with 2 large brass leaves holding a 2” piece of frosted glass engraved with a picture of Cupid holding his bow while attempting to recover his arrow from Circe who is holding it above his head.

4 Art nouveau filigree pins with brass heads, each set in an ornate floral motif, colored glass and 7” shafts. DATE: Turn of century through early 1900s.
a. Brass head resembling petals with a round center flower made of tiny round pieces of teal glass. Shaft has a cap.
b. Brass head wraps around a deep burgundy oval glass bud cut in a diamond pattern. Shaft has cap.
c. Cone shaped brass head with a green glass bud cut in a diamond pattern.
d. Brass head in the shape of an upside down cone set inside 4 leaves. At the top of each leaf is a small clear glass bead. At the top of the head sits a 1/4” blue glass ball.
