The top of the crown crocheted in a circular open stitched pattern. 5 large crocheted circles stitched together form a rim around the front and on the sides. In the center of each circle is a large white ribbon flower. There is silk shattering. DATE: 1920s.

Crocheted Day or Night Cap, white netting with overlay of large open sections of yellow crocheting in a diamond pattern. Ruffles along the outside with narrow yellow ribbon interlaced at the front ties into a bow at the left side to adjust size.
Evening Cap, off white netting covered
Evening Cap, off white netting covered with silk organza and shaped w/2 pieces of wire, one above the rim and one around the crown. The organza is embroidered w/tiny white star like designs. Circling the cap are 4 rows of the ribbon embroidered in black, white and dusty rose. The ribbon and lace come together on the left side gathered up soft folds. The ribbon ties under the chin. DATE: 1850s.

Evening Cap, white lace netting in floral motif. Stiff lace pleating around sides and back, across the front the same lace folds up and lays flat. Ribbon in shades of pink with tiny black edges circles the cap at the front and is twisted on top of the crown at the back. The looped twisted ribbon is not sewed to the cap and could have been taken down and used as an under the chin tie.

Narrow pink ribbon interlaces along the two sides of the crocheted border, ending in a bow on the right. The crown is crocheted in an open stitch pattern. There is silk shattering. DATE: 1920s.
