Warner’s Health Corset, Gray plaster bust of a woman
Gray plaster bust of a woman. Just above the bosom says, “Warners Health Corset,” the text would be visible above the corset. 11” diameter and 28-1/2” length. Her hair is in a chignon, a popular style in the 1870s and well into the 1880s. Warner Brothers opened their business in 1874 with the Health Corset. Their health corsets became so successful that “...in 1883 Harper's Bazaar announced the four most popular corsets found in an American household were all Warners.” DATE: Circa 1883.
