“Victory Girls” celluloid button in red with a dark blue center and the words “VIctory Girls” in white with an eagle in flight. Along the bottom, “I am Enrolled.” The General Federation of Women’s Clubs provided 100 volunteers, two from each state, to work with the YMCA in France to provide assistance for American soldiers during WWII. 3/4” diameter. Victory Girls became a generic term for young women who sought out men in uniform for dubious reasons.

2 Round bronze Women’s Army Corps Service Medals. Medal hangs from a green 2-1/2” wide grosgrain ribbon.The profile of the goddess Pallas Athena is stamped on the front, superimposed on a sheathed sword with oak leaves. The back has stamped scroll with an eagle on the top, written on the scroll “For Service in the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps, 1942-1943.” 1-1/4” diameter. DATED: Medal first awarded July 10, 1942 and last awarded September 2, 1945.
